Skylert Notification System

Newaygo Public Schools is pleased to make the Skylert notification system available to NPS families and employees.

Skylert works with Skyward to enable the district to send out communications in a timely manner.  NPS can use Skylert to provide information in three ways:

  • Telephone/Mobile Phone call electronically recorded messages

  • E-mails

  • Text messages (Standard text message rates apply; the district does not pay for any text-message fees charged by your cellular provider).

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE SKYWARD PARENT ACCESS, follow these steps.

1.)  Download How to set up Skylert notifications instructions found at the right.

2.)  Follow the instructions to set your preferences. 

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SKYWARD PARENT ACCESS, follow these steps.

1.)  Download and read the Skyward Flier.

2.)  Download and fill out the Skyward Parent Access Application and return to school secretary. Please allow for one week for proessing of Skyward Parent Access Applications. Once you receive an email with your login and password, you will be able to set up Skylert. 

3.)  Once a Skyward parent access account is acquired, download How to set up Skylert notifications instructions found at the right.

4.)  Follow the instructions to set your preferences. You can change your preferences at any time.
